Katherine Ross

Katherine read English at Oxford University and has always drawn inspiration, insight, and nourishment from her long held love of literature.

Before training as a therapist, she spent four years working in financial services in London and Singapore. During this time she gained professional accreditations and discovered an affinity for coaching. This informs her work with clients who are in high pressure working environments, or those at turning point in their career.

Katherine has completed a Psychology MSc with a research focus on identifying and responding to emotions. This work was published in the Journal of Addictive Behaviors and has given her a better understanding of the problems that can occur when emotions, or the physical felt sense, is blocked or ignored.

Since qualifying as a clinical psychotherapist Katherine has completed a number of additional trainings that deepen her work with clients. These include working with Couples & Other Diverse Relationships; working with with Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversities; working with cyclical depression and Bipolar.

In tandem to her clinical work Katherine is committed to embodiment practices: yoga, meditation, and pranayama. She is a dedicated Ashtanga practitioner and assists her teachers in London and internationally. This underscores her appreciation of mind and body connection, and a belief that knowledge and change is rooted in lived experience.
